The Bachelor’s Degree in Health Services with a concentration in Health Sciences prepares students to work in the health care industry. In addition to foundational coursework in the sciences, the program is designed to provide students with an understanding of the social, political, ethical, legal, and economic aspects of complex health care delivery systems. Health Services encompasses a large number of service-related fields including health services administration, health and medical administrative services, health information and medical records administration, health unit managers, health care administration, health care facilities management, home health care administration, long term care administration and management, and public health program administration.

The Bureau of Labor and Industry projects that employment off Medical and Health Service Managers is projected to grow 20% from 2016 to 2026, much faster than the average for all occupations. As the large baby-boom population ages and people remain active later in life, there should be increased demand for healthcare services.
